Coprosma are HOT right NOW!

Ignite some "fire" in the garden this winter. Coprosma have spectacular colour and structure. They have variegated foliage that is shiny and glossy with splashes of bright orange, red, gold and green colour. The leaves darken and intensify in colour as the temperature cools so it provides excellent winter colour. They are low maintenance, easy to grow, and very drought resistant. They are ideal for mixed borders, beds, combinations, rock garden and mixed containers.

Winter greens are a fabulous source of antioxidants. Cut young leaves for salads, and add the older leaves to stir-fries or even soups. Nothing need go to waste and your body will thank you!

Blooming Cactus
Zygocactus are in bloom with fabulous colour right NOW. They are truly amazing, in the intricacy of their flowers and tough foliage. Also called Christmas cactus as they flower around Christmas in the northern hemisphere. Zygocactus are tropical cactus, not a desert cactus. Unlike most desert cacti, this variety cannot tolerate completely dry soil. If the soil gets too dry, the flowers buds will drop, and the plant will wilt. Feel the soil with your fingers; if it feels dry, it's time to water.
They are great for baskets and enjoy similar conditions to ferns, with bright but not direct Sun. They can be kept inside or out but it is a good idea to protect their flowers from heavy rain ie under a porch.
They are very easy to propagate once their flowers finish.
