Plant Spotlight - Rory's Favourite
Senecio macroglossus 'Wax Ivy'

With it's beautiful variegated foliage in shades of dark green, white and pink, Wax Ivy is an extremely hardy easy care and striking indoor plant.
This is a succulent so minimal watering is required, especially through the cooler weather.
During Spring and Autumn, wax ivy will also produce loads of beautiful large butter-yellow daisy-like flowers that grow to around 10cm diameter.

Foliage contrast and  showy whites flowers
Filled with inspiration -Carolyn

Camellia 'Pope John' Provides the tallest layer in this whimsical garden combination. The best performing and toughest formal white variety of Camellia Japonica. Lovely dark green foliage with large showy white flowers. Fantastic flowering garden shrubs, also very hardy and drought tolerant once established. Suitable for growing in containers in small courtyard or entertaining areas.

Orthrosanthrus multiflorus or 'Morning Iris' provide contrast with their strappy green leaves and flowers throughout the warmer months when camellias are no longer blooming. A very clever selection because it is a robust native Australian plant but with a very soft and pretty presentation.

Bacopa covers the ground with petite white and purple flowers.
Surprisingly tough plants which prefer a part sun environment and will continue to thrill you with masses of flowers throughout the year. Covering bare soil with ground cover plants deters weeds as well as adding yet another layer of interest to a garden bed.

'ZZ Plant' or Zanzibar Gem

Zanzibar Gem or 'ZZ Plant' is the number one contender when it comes to low maintenance indoor plants. If you go away for weeks, or even months at a time, your plant can draw on the stores of water in its robust succulent stems. In summer we water ours about once a month, and never in winter, as we don't have heating on. Stems are green and redish brown, and can appear striped. Leaves are lush shiny green.

Kalette Green

Kalette is the new name for a cross between Kale and Brussels Sprouts. They have a sweet nutty flavour like Kale with some of the complex tastes of Brussels to make a delightful salad vegetable. For maximum health benefits do not overcook. They make a great side dish tossed in the wok with some garlic, thai basil and soy sauce. They are also excellent lightly steamed. Great as an accompaniment to grilled salmon and baked chats with a dusting of salt and fresh basil.
Kalette prefers moist but well drained soil in part to full sun position. Plant in late summer/early autumn for harvest in late autumn to mid winter. Pick florets after first cold snap when leaves drop.
Height 40cm x Width 70cm

Phlebodium aureum 'Glaucum'

Keep indoors lush over winter with ferns and other indoor plants. 'Glaucum' has a distinct blue/grey colour foliage making it a unique choice of fern.  Paired here with a white crackle pot with dark grey rim.

Create a fresh start for your fruit trees.
