Be Inspired by Nature this Valentine's Day
The birds, bees and butterflies will love this trio, as do I. Botanical Creations staff will tell you I'm obsessed with a purple, silver and white colour scheme. This one includes two new varieties which are hard to find plus one that has been around for years.
Agastatache 'Royal Scepter'
The majestic Royal Sceptre's display of long flowering stems are topped by large purple, showy floral spikes that the bees will love summer through to autumn. Tough, dry tolerant and fast growing. Rich in nectar, attracting birds and butterflies also. The foliage is also aromatic when handled.
Euphorbia 'Diamond Dazzler'
Diamond Dazzler is one of those set and forget plants. Flowers for most of the year with a profusion of tiny white flowers, and you only need to chop down by one third in spring IF it's looking like it needs it (mostly only if its not in full sun). It will bounce back into flower after pruning if you encourage it with an all purpose fertiliser. Otherwise LOW Maintenance as it only grows to 25cm. This compact flowering shrub is ideal for containers, baskets and gardens boarders.

Expert tip - Take care that the mulch is not placed close to the main stem of the plant as this is a hardy variety that will not take super wet conditions, particularly in winter. Shelter from heavy frosts.
Convolvulus cneorum 'Silver Bush'
An oldie but a goodie. Loves the sun and grows to 40cm. Small, hardy shrub which provides year round interest with its silver foliage. During the warm summer months there is the added bonus of large white, funnel-shaped flowers, providing focal points in the border or for creating a foil for other low growing perennials such as Diamond Dazzler (above). Keep the mulch away from the base of this one also. Looks fabulous against black mulch as the contrast is outstanding.
Love the Inspiration!

 Tendrils of Hearts

A Valentine`s gift for those plant lovers out there. Chain of hearts has long hanging tendrils covered in heart shaped leaves. Unlike most hearts, these are easy to take care of - phew! Keep indoors in a bright spot, or outdoors in shade/morning sun, and watch them grow longer and longer.

RED RASPBERRY 'TUALMEEN'

Raspberry 'Tulameen' is a late-summer fruiting variety that produces during late January and Feb.
Raspberries require a sunny spot and room to spread, at least a 1.5x1.5m area, ideally in the ground, though a very large pot (half wine barrel) may be suitable.
Expert tip-Raspberries fruit on the previous year's woody cane's, so each winter prune out canes that have fruited that summer to make way for new growth, and don't touch canes that have just emerged this year.
These are extremely hardy plants, and don't require very much attention, but do appreciate a feed with a fruit or flower fertiliser during spring and summer and extra water while fruits are developing for a bigger crop.

Monsters ‘Tauerii’

Want a Monstera but live in a smaller apartment? Monstera is a favorite to many, but can sometimes get out of hand, growing large very quickly and throwing out arms of new growth which can require trimming if you want to keep it small. Monstera 'Tauerii' is a dwarf version, with the same beautiful dark green glossy 'Swiss Cheese' leaves, just a more compact plant that is less likely to jump out of its pot!
