A New Face
A big welcome to Ben who has joined the team at Botanical Creations this week.
Ben is studying Plant Science at Monash this year as well and he has a passion for carnivorous plants and indoors.
One of his first jobs was to help unpack the
impressive Indoors. Fiddle leaf figs, Ficus Burgundy and Kentia Palms are looking stunning. Click the image below to see the reveal.
Gardenias
The heat has brought gardenias into magnificent flower.

Did you realise how many types of Gardenias there are. Check  out the different leaf sizes in my pic. Magnifica is the tallest and largest leaf down to the smallest leaf ground covers Radicans. They all smell delightful. My favourite is the medium sized Gardenia Florida. Medium sized  leaves and flowers in abundance. More flowers instead of sacrificing its energy on just a few large flowers. Don’t forget Harry’s Gardenia Food and plenty of water on hot days to keep them healthy.

Curry Leaf Tree (Murraya koenigii)

This great garden plant has a powerful curry like fragrance which carries well in Asian style cooking and is commonly used in many Thai and Indian dishes. It mixes well with coriander , fennel, cumin, kaffir lime and laksa leaf or Vietnamese coriander. Use with most meats and all vegetables.

Use leaves fresh or dreid. Add prior to serving.

Part to full sun , frost sensitive
Height 3m   Width 1.5m

Zanzibar Gems

Zanzibar Gems are a super hardy and dry tolerant indoor plant that also tolerate low light conditions unlike most other indoors! However they don’t compromise on looks with their glossy green leaves and interesting shape. The Zanzibar gem is a perfect indoor plant for the forgetful waterer as they only need watering once a month in Summer and every two months in Winter.

THE WEATHER IS HOTTING UP
So it’s time to mulch to reduce water loss

Pea Straw is a fantastic mulch to help keep moisture in the soil.
It breaks down and releases lots of nitrogen (plant food) and organic matter into the soil so it will improve your garden's soil quality while making summer watering much easier.
A fully certified organic product, it's perfect for veggie and herb patches, annual flower beds as well as general mulch use.
