Banksia 'Cherry Candles' (Banksia 'Cherry Candles')
This amazing plant is a dense, compact shrub with small leaves and an array of candle shaped flowers ranging from yellows to oranges. They bloom from late summer to winter. These Australian natives will also attract a myriad of bird species.
They do very well against rock walls or to plant as compact, short borders. Cherry candles grow to approximately 70-90cm tall and are ideally planted in sandy soils with a neutral to slightly acidic pH. They like full sun and can tolerate cold and hot temperatures year round. Feed with natural, low phosphorous native fertilizer in early spring.
