Description
Shiitake mushrooms grow on trees in forests. Typically they would experience dappled light and moisture. Light indoors doesn't matter but will make the caps darker. We suggest you place it on a tray in a bathroom where humidity can be high. You can grow the mushrooms outdoors in a leafy spot (like the forest), they will be beautiful but grow slowly.
When they stop fruiting, you can place the block in your garden in the shade to compost, and you may still get a few more mushrooms.
