Crepe Myrtle & Lavender Indian Summer

CREPE MYRTLES - LAGERSTROEMIA 'LIPAN'
Crepe Myrtles like Lipan are still in flower and love these late summers making them our top feature tree for small gardens.
Bred and selected for its resistance to powdery mildew. A popular cultivar from the Indian Summer® range, Lagerstroemia 'Lipan' is tough and has year-round interest including a long flowering period, dark green leaves, turning light orange to russet in autumn.

The flowers are masses of medium pink which fade to lavender as they age. Flowers are produced on current season's growth in summer so crepe myrtles love a prune

Best in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soils in a position receiving full sun but can also be planted in poorer soil if you water well in the first year.

H 4 x 3 metres.

LAVENDER 'SENSATION WHITE'

Sensation White ™ Lavender are early to flower in spring but can repeat flower all year round. Just give a trim after each flush to stimulate more flowers and maintain shape. The clear white wings may reduce in warm weather however, with aromatic flowers and foliage are fabulous on the warmer days. Lavender plants are ideal for the herb garden and well suited to picking for indoor decoration or potpourri.
Prefers a sunny open position and is tolerant of most soils with good drainage Minimal water once established preparing the soil with compost will always save you watering

BRACHYSCOME 'FRESCO PURPLE'
Fresco Purple has finely textured foliage and large purple flowers that last all season long. Compact and upright-mounded plants prefers full sun for the best shape and brighter larger blooms. It will still produce flowers in part shade and grow 10-15cm. Great as a ground cover or boarder plant in a traditional or native garden.

Sweet Peas for St Patrick's Day Weekend

The traditional day to plant sweet peas is St. Patrick's Day, this Sunday 17th!
So this weekend will be the perfect time to sow your seeds for a spectacular display of fragrant colourful flowers all through spring and summer
Start your seeds in a small pot or egg carton using Seed Raising Mix. Once your seedlings are around 10cm tall they can be planted out in a sunny spot in the garden.
Pure Magic Compost and a good dose of Maxicrop will give them the best start in life
Hen and Chicken Fern (Asplenium Bulbiferum)

in White Kita Pot

Bright green feathery fronds deepen in colour with age. New plantlets develop directly on the surface of mature fronds and may be removed and potted up. Ideal for shade houses or indoor decoration.

Grow in shade to partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil. Fertilise regularly and keep moist but not wet at all times.

We have paired the Hen and Chicken fern with the Kita Pot. The white colour helps to highlight the bright foliage and makes for an excellent combo for any home or office environment. The pot also comes with a saucer so the fern can be planted directly into the pot or can be kept in plastic pot if preferred.
